Thankful To Be So Blessed
None of my blessings would be possible if it wasn’t for my Jesus and so it seems only fitting to start there. I am blessed to know a God who sacrificed his son so that I may live the wonderful life that I have, share my life with family and friends, and when my time is over be reunited with Him, family and friends who went before me. I’m thankful for my heavenly father who loves me despite how much I mess up and blesses me more than I deserve.
Blessed to be part of a loving and caring family. A family with a mom, dad and two brothers for 50 years in itself is a blessing. Then to be the youngest child and the only girl on either side of the family, well now I’m really blessed though some might say spoiled. Mom and dad worked hard and provided us with all that we needed and many things that we wanted. We were taught to love and care for each other as well as those that enter our lives, to show respect and kindness to others, and to have strong morals and values. I’m thankful for my family.
Blessed to have a wonderful family on Kevan’s side. Kevan’s mom Judy, sister Paige, her husband Kyle, Ann and so many others have loved us, supported us, cruised with us and been a big part of my life. Thankful for a loving, caring and devoted extended family.
Blessed to be married to Kevan for 28 years so far and have two beautiful girls. Blessed to experience the ups and downs of marriage as well as the hard but rewarding times of parenting. Thankful the Lord sustained us and our marriage through the death of our daughter Brook. Blessed to see our daughter so happy as she begins her journey of marriage with her husband Eric. I’m thankful for my husband and children.
Blessed with friends who genuinely care about me, love me, laugh with me, cry with me and just be with me. To know that I could call on one of these friends at anytime and they would be there for me is a true blessing. Thank you Heavenly Father for my friends at church, UAT, work and those I don’t get to see very often. Blessed with new relationships that enter my life. It is so fun to get to know people and build a lifelong relationship. Blessed with all I need to live a great life. Thankful that though I take so much for granted, I continue to be blessed beyond measure.
This season of Thanksgiving will look, feel, sound and just be different for me and my family. This will be the first Thanksgiving without dad. I know there are many others out there that will be experiencing the same kind of first and I hope that they will be as blessed as I am.
